The CPS BlackMax BTLE9 is a premium, compact tube expanding kit designed to create fast, smooth, and consistent swaged joints in soft copper and aluminium tubing (1/4″ to 1-1/8″ OD) . It includes a patented, durable, quick-change mechanism with nine color-coded aluminum heads for easy identification, all stored in a sturdy, professional-grade carrying case.
Swaged ends means less couplings and less refrigerant leaks. Use the BTLE9 BlackMax® Tube Expander Kit for a fast and smooth cut every time, even on slightly deformed tubing.

Maintenance and Usage Tips
- Lubrication: Periodically apply grease to the inside of the heads and the tool’s drive point to prevent sticking.
- Annealing: While the tool is designed for soft metals, using it on hard copper requires annealing (heating and cooling) first to prevent the pipe from cracking or damaging the expander blades.
- Operation: Ensure the back handle is fully extended before threading a die onto the tool.
